Oxidation on hamants?

Post by LukeM » Sat Aug 17, 2013 8:21 pm

A buddy of mine won't go boating with me in the river right next to our house cause its brackish He says the salt is oxidating his hull. So was wondering if there was something to put on his hull to stop or slow the oxidation down. I was thinking wax.

Wax will help some. there is a salt water wash he can use. Check with WEST Marine I think.

I use Sharkhide AL Protectant on my polished AL rudders and it works great. It is advertised in the Airboat magazine.

Add zinc plates. The best solution!
