3A South
We just heard they closed the grass in 3A south. ANYONE know for how long? When we called we were told one airboater left a note on his truck that he was doing repairs on his camp. Is this a legit excuse?

Yes closed to high water since 2 weeks after 4th july. Not looking good for awhile, maybe November. I don't think that note will work. Ive heard you can get a pass to check on a camp if a camp owner though.

There is no ETA right now, the water is still very high.
If you are a camp owner you'll have to apply for a special access permit to check on your camp. They are trying to organize a day right now like they had last year for owners to get out there, though it won't be a free for all like last year. Only people whos names are on the leases.
Leaving a note is not a good excuse and you'll get in trouble.

Any property owner, not lessor can enter at any time. You must own the ground under your camp. I only know of a couple, but there may be others.

Any one ever notice how they always close it right at lobster season? When all of FWC is working overtime? Its just a thought, but every thing FWC and water management is for money, none of it is built on good intentions. If it were up to them, the glades would have a huge electrical fence all the way around it.
