See these all the time in the magazines. Anyone ever get one of these setup for your airboat? What about permits, setup time, fees etc.? If you don't want to post on here about it, PM me. I'm very interested.

Re: Carport/Garage
Iam in the process of doing the same thing. From what I gather If your zoned agriculture you don't need a permit. Lots of diff companies advertising these which I believe come from one or two suppliers. Iam looking at installing a 12 x 40 x 10 and they are rangeing in price anywhere between 2500/3800 depending on how bad they need work I guess.

Re: Carport/Garage
Duece, I bought a 20+31 for my boat with a 10+10 roll up door and a side door for $5000 installed. It took them about 5hours to put up. The permit wasn't any trouble to get. I have an extra $2000 in electricity.

I got one and it works great, mine i think is 30x30x16 but I wish I would of got bigger. I am adding another one behind it so I have 30x 60. Whatever you think you need get bigger they fill up quick. I did the concrete and they came and set up the building in a day. I love it, but like I said get bigger than you think you'll ever need

i bought one from SUPERIOR SHEDS , (321)636-7761 in cocoa , orderd a 16x20 by 9ft high side and the middle is 12ft high. the price was 2,100 that was with set up . it took like 2 weeks to get it and when they set it up 4 guys done the job in less than 3 hr.. you can build your own carport with the web site i sent you . mine was only 1,600 then i add the closed back and 2 side panels , that made it 2,100 . it is a perfect size for my 14x8 boat and other stuff. good luck bud .

If you're not going to do concrete is that an issue? I've already got a marl pad is why I'm asking. My issue is a bit strange, but my pad is long (maybe 20' x40') and I store my boat long ways, while I have a hunting truck I store short ways. Can you drive over those rails on the bottom, or can they be buried so you can drive over them? Guess that's a manufacturer's question. Thanks for the info.

I've been looking at many companies and can't decide which company to go with! I just bought a house and it came with a 24x40 slab! Let me know if you go through with them and how it is!

Hopefully you have better luck than I did if you permit it. Palm Beach County gave me a really hard time

Re: Carport/Garage
I started out with a 32x36 from Panhandle salvage in Bonifay.

Saved up and and did the concrete.

Then started closing in the back 12x32

Decided I need more under roof

Found a guy over in Defuniak Springs that makes the trusses a good price http://jordantruss.com/ ALso found a good deal on CL for some 26' tin

Up they went

Mostly finished.....but still have room to do another lean too.

Re: Carport/Garage
Those metal buildings are a lot, lot cheaper down there then they are up here in Alaska. Sams club sells a metal single car carport for about $1000 here. Your buildings are also lower, but of course we have to have ours heavy insulated and we have to heat them in the winter, and they have to be stout enough to hold a 2-3 ft wet snowload all winter, plus the shipping by barge up from seattle area. mmmm, guess living is more expensive up here. Re: Carport/Garage
Yeah, I'd need them farther apart than that. Wide enough to drive a truck through.harley wrote:mine is 2'' heavy duty square galv tube 5 ft apart if that helps.Duece wrote:If you're not going to do concrete is that an issue? Re: Carport/Garage
C&G enterprises in Hudson, Fl. 727 862-2430. He has local guys for set-up. Probably he would have shed drop shipped directly to you idk. Set up takes a couple hours.

How tall is your boat? Mine's pretty tall. That 9' is that what you put in the website when you're generating your building?

I did a 20X40 from Carolina carports with 2 each 10x10 doors on each end. I open both doors in the summer and it is really nice. I spent $8200 for the building. I had it spray foamed also.
