Alumitech Airboats

Post by muffled500hp » Fri Jul 25, 2014 3:17 pm

Just wanted to say thank you to Steve, Raymond and boys over at Alumitech for a great job building this 14 x 8 AGS hull with walkboards and 1/4" polymer. They do really nice work over there. Everything was built as I wanted and they gave me a great deal on the walkboards, which I added at the last minute. Steve did a good job keeping me up to date on the build process.

They are the best people in the business. Old school and ready to help out in any way. You'll love that hull

So, how does a similar fiberglass hull compare weight-wise?
I'm curious, and have no experience on the subject.

Cracker...this hull only cost me $600 and a old rusty Jeep. It was the raffle hull that the FAA gave away last year. The hull with polymer was valued at $4500.00 and Steve cut me a great deal on the wallboards for only $600. We are putting a 550 hp LS3 engine on it with a gearbox.

Don't see a cross rib in this boat, never saw one without one. Wondering why?

They usually only pit them in 15' and bigger or ice boats

Keiths pic don't show the cross rib from the pic angle!
Thanks Keith! I was told mine was next after a rush order. That rusty jeep wouldn't be a 304 scrambler by any chance would it?

No it was a 1982 cj-7 hardtop. Huntinbigun is the proud new owner of it and has put a lot of work and money into it to make one hell of a hunting Jeep. He can post up before and after pictures and give you the details of all the work he's done to it.

I was proud to win this hull and even better got the jeep, I got this running faster than you will have the boat going :D :D :D Got about the same money as a gearbox in the jeep :D

LOL
Jeeps don't get stuck! They do pause for operator competence to catch up at times though,

Looks good bigun!

Last time there seen a sweet cj-8 with a "rusty" fl tag, leaving.
