How far from 520 is it to the oakhead? Thinking about coming down for the movie. Also what side of the lake are the trails on to get me there? I'm thinking they are on the west side?

Take a look at Google earth lake Florance- trails. the oak head is listed as the oak trees on the st john map. Its past like winder on the east side.

Hey, can someone please say if the survey trail is open from Lake Washington to the OakHead ???? This info is for the folks bringing the screens, projector, and stuff.. they dont wanna take the river run being they will be loaded down.. they are short of boats leaving Lake Washington toting all the gear out there for us to enjoy.. he will be waiting on an answer and i will let him know ASAP... any answers are greatly appreciated by the folks putting this on.....

Is the water up in the big marsh along the fence or is that dry like it normally would be at this time.

As far as I know the survey trail has not been completely opened up. Id just take the airboat trail just past the dam

Its still on!!!! The trail from Florence is all good. The easiest way is to take back trail off Florence stay behind Turtles/Scotties get in the old Duda canal all the way to bird tower. Then ride the east shore of Winder to middle river and head on down. do it all the time and pretty much keeps you outta the wind and deep water most of the way.

There is plenty of water to take the airboat trail after the dam from lake Washington.
