where is the ramp located? directions from Deleon springs? never been to that area yet, but I should have my boat ready to go later today. I am installing a manual choke cable today and then wire up the new lights and will then call it done.

go to hwy-40 go west about 2 miles from 40 and 19 keep looking to your right there will be a boat-launch sign the road is blue creek lodge road turn right go to ramp.
if thats not understandable go to aster sit at a gas station watch for someone gasing an air-boat strike up a conversation or just follow someone pulling a air-boat chances are they will be going to that boat-ramp..

It is imperative that you heed Scrambletown's advice, and go to that ramp.

Do not . . . and I repeat DO NOT . . . but your boat in the river at Astor
thinking that Google earth shows that it is not that far and it will be fine.

The St Johns there is DEEP and on the weekend there are many BIG boats and BIG wakes.
As a non-swimming, inexperienced airboater on a sled, that is the LAST place on earth you want to be.

Follow Scrambletown's advice and you'll be fine. Don't forget to bring some beads.

yeah that is my biggest fear is the wake from Big boats, I have heard they can flip an air boat in seconds. I have only been out on my boat that 1 time when I met up with carmotorbarg at loughman lake lodge. ever since that day I have been doing things to upgrade the boat. looking forward to seeing how it does now.

JUST REMEMBER WITH THE RELOACATION OF ALL THAT WEIGHT YOUR BOAT WILL DEFINATELY HANDLE A WHOLE LOT DIFFERENT. YOU HAVE TO RELEARN EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW ABOUT THE HANDLING. SLIDE SAFE

yeah and since I have only had it out the one time so far, this should get interesting. I am hopeing that relocating that weight is going to stop some of the porpoising it was doing before. if you saw my Video awhile back you could see it was pretty bad. trust me I am taking it very carefully and keeping in mind, when in dought, power out. at least now I have the carb tuned, so it's not bogging like it was.

Ok my lady and I just got back from driving out to find the boat ramp, found it ok, not much area to park, I guess people park on the side of the road also when it is full.
also what direction from the Ramp is the party? I am guessing somewhere to the left.

I have been going to the mayhem party for many years!!!!
this was the worst one ever....
there was 7 fist-fights that I seen, there was even 2 women fighting in the years passed there never was any trouble...
I have never seen this many teenie-boper's under-age drunks kid's at any other mayhem party..
there were boats leaving half way thru the party...
really a screwed-up mess.

yeah I did not make it also, had trailer issues, plus my lady did not want to go. since we use her suv to pull the boat that did not work out well.
I have decided to sell my boat and build a boat of my own design. not sure how it will work out, but thinking of building a boat with twin smaller props mounted side by side with the engine down in the hull with belt drives to the props.
thinking if I can keep the center of gravity low, less chance of it flipping over from wakes or other causes. and with a deep hull should be fine in deep water.
when I bought the boat,I should have done more research. really had no clue that they don't do well in deep water and that wake from kicker boats can flip ya over.

I like my air boat, even though I have only had it out 1 time. but having to take it 20 + miles to run it takes a lot of the fun out of it.
