Blue Spring State Park
Is Blue Spring State Park area off limits to Airboats? Looks like a good place to make videos from the air and from a boat.

It's roped off to boats in general. U can park outside the park on the river and walk in.

Steve, not sure what you saw, but its not very big and not boat friendly. Big enough for 3 or 4 canoes wide and less than a 1/4 mile long. Fun to take a canoe early am and go swimming though.

Before the state bought it, it was boat friendly. My father in law ran the airboat for the tours back when he was in high school. Not in the run, but out on the river. Like Yob said, it’s kinda tight.
FIL said he launched his first airboat he owned at French Landing (just north). A 65 hp hand prop Continental. He said he didn’t make it 100 yards before he turned it over had to swim back. Ink wasn’t even dry on the check.
It’s not boat friendly now, but back just after WWII my mom drove her brothers surplus jeep into the run and took out several boats in slips. Story goes, she parked at the top of the hill, didn’t leave it in gear and it passed her while she was walking down to the run. She tried to jump in and hit the brakes but panicked and dove back out.

Great story, Dan-o. Beautiful place as well. I've been there before. Took my tanks and gear and hand-caught a 38 qt cooler full of the biggest crawfish I've ever seen

Re: Blue Spring State Park
Thanks everyone, a friend and I want to go fly our R/C's over the Springs and Park but from looking at it from Google it looked like you could travel the creek, river or whatever it is. I wanted to launch from the deck of my boat.
