Just saw this. It follows you, hands free and waterproof.

Incredible. My only concern is ..... will you be the only one who has access to that video?
Google has been working on a system whereby those chips can be recorded by others.

It's pretty cool if they ever make it. Just prototypes right now.

The 'self fly, self track' technology is what's astounding, and in my humble opinion all of that is coming directly out of Google' development of the 'self driving' automobile. They're a leader now in things GPS and self guided. That they're also so closely affiliated with the NSA and the DOD is scary though to an old man like me. When that genie is out of the box nobody will ever put it back in, and we're probably there already.

It would be funny if you have a friend who is extremely paranoid about being watched. Put a sticker on it saying 'Property of US gubbamint' and hide the controller in their pocket  Watch them try to hide from it

Airboat experience so far, limited to having bolted a gyrocopter to a flat bottom punt.... but THAT.... is about to change, bigtime :-)

I saw the video on lily yesterday the only bad thing about is it does not yet have obstacle avoidance yet
nor can you set the altitude you want it to fly at, a buddy of mine here at work is in with a company that will be releasing theirs in august that has all that it also has a wrist band that you wear as well and is way more advanced than the lily but it also is more expensive but not by much but it’s not water proof either that’s a big plus for Airboaters

Ya think they can program it to follow a cell phone, credit card, Sunpass transponder, vehicle GPS...?

When I said it was not water proof I was talking about the other drone my buddy is getting that has obstacle avoidance guess I did not explain it well enough, I totally got that the lily is water proof which will be great for us Airboaters in an open area but having the lack of obstacle avoidance or the ability to set altitude parameters you will probably have to stay away from an area with trees

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/micr ... --2#/story ... A drone for everyone, be aware of all the hype and the things they don't tell you before buying any drone. They are a lot of fun and all have limits. The first one I bought would go only 60 feet, I found out after losing it twice. They are like everything else, you get what you pay for. http://www.dronethusiast.com/should-you ... ily-drone/ ...
