AAOF Fish Fry, Sat., Sept. 12th

Postby Cherpa » Thu Aug 13, 2015 1:16 pm

The Airboat Assoc. of Florida is having it's annual Fish Fry & Poker Run on Sat., Sept. 12th @ their club grounds.
We are located 7.5 miles west of Krome Ave. (SR 997) on US 41 (Tamiami Trail, S.W. 8th Street).
25400 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, Florida is the address. This is a great weekend event of camping & riding in "your" Everglades National Park (make sure you have all your req'd. equipment). First boat out @ 10:00 am. plus 50/50 drawing.

We have lined up some very special entertainment for the Fish fry as well.
:proud:

Ricky Valido and the Hialeah Hillbillies will be playing.

We will have a 4 piece band playing from about 12.30 to 5pm.
Food will be great......water and sodas are avail as well.
This up and comming Country artist writes his own music and is very talanted. His voice remminds me of Waylor Jennings with a mix of Johnnie Cash....yep you read that right.
Look him up on face book...
Come to the Fish Fry and meet this Original songwriter and future star...
more to come soon..

just a quick question. but is this something non boat owners could attend with the family and have a good time and not feel like to much of an outcast? hopefully one day I'll be lucky enough to own a boat but not yet. thanks in advance and I greatly appreciate your time

Bring the family. We will have a boat to take you on the poker run if you don't have a boat.

The AAOF is a family friendly place and our events are designed to include the whole family. From young children to great-grandparents, bounce houses to wheelchairs, sippy cups to dribble cups, Pampers to Depends, boat less to barges. Bring your own adult beverages.
See ya there.

bring the family and come on down as has been said great atmosphere very family oriented. Only warning would be once you get the airboat fever there is no known cure only treatment by ridding airboat and lurking on SA. Welcome to Southern Airboat and look forward to saying hello at the fish fry.

I think you meant to say X4 as in 10-4. Two X's makes it 24. Just remember, you will be riding in "YOUR" Everglades Nat'l. Park. Make sure you have all your equipment needed.

I see a couple hotels close by including the gaming resort. Anybody have any camping details? Other than hot as hell in a tent, lol. Motorhome hookup at the club?

Great time, turnout of fine folks, weather, food, music, poker run, bounce house, raffle table and sunset memorial service.
Thank you to all that made this a great event and memorable time together.
