Planning a ride this Saturday 10/10/15 in the ENP with JP Dodel, Photographer/Story Writer, He has a Drone with Go Pro that has a 2 Mile range, wants to get pictures and aerial footage of the area that will be off limits soon, He wants to do a story about the Gladesmen and the way it was, trying to capture the flavor and or the way of life, in the everglades. Anyway I don't need much of a reason to go riding, anyone that wants to come along get in the pictures, tell about any history/stories you know about, that he can use in his story could help maybe in some way to get attention from the Politicians, If some of you have children to ride along to show this is a place for families to enjoy our Park. The Heads should be a place to have a picnic or BBQ, bird watching, etc,,, Not just forbid for anybody that can't prove or didn't have an Airboat in 1989.

Sounds good !
My dad and I went out to that old Duck Club years ago and ran into an old man and his grandson, he said he helped build it back in 1947, wish I could remember his name.

I remember going hunting out there in the winter time when there was an old pot-belly stove in the middle of the floor, sure felt good !

It would be nice to see how Cooks camp is standing being the entrance is overgrown. This is the only property other than Aaof that is not owned by NPS.

Please come ride with us, will be fun to see from the air view what we can't see from ground level, Will be there before sunrise because it is the best light for pictures, anybody coming later just let us know we can meet at AAOF and go out riding from there to see the Trails and the state of the heads, ALL ARE WELCOME TO RIDE AND SHARE STORIES, I think AAOF has an event this Saturday, Maybe Paul can fill us in.

Don't know yet, only know what was said on the NEWS, so going to ride there until told where we can or can't ride. Maybe they will put up "NO TRESPASSING" signs so we will know that the PARK is off limits. Or give us a Map, Don't know where the NEWS Media got the Information from to report, unless they are monitoring the new LAWS lists that are posted.

I'm sure we all break a law once in awhile without even trying, cause there are just way too many LAWS that just don't make any sense.

Seems like that only applies to Yellow Stone and Death Valley, don't see anything about drones in ENP

It is the third stop for the poker runs usually, due west of the second stop, it has several names, Macks camp, paper plate and others I can't remember, there should be 2 buildings, the main camp faces east and another partial that faces sw.

Hey Hutch
Guess that about covers it. We probably wouldn't get caught flying it,,, but couldn't use the video without getting caught by sharing the video.
So much for that idea, Well at least we can go to Mile Marker 41 and fly it North of there.
Thanks for the heads up.
