X2 on missing Bruce Kay . He was an amazing man. I remember the day I met him in Hernando, his 18' cottonmouth was on its side and I stopped to help. It had his first box on it a counter rotator with a big caddy turning it. Spent several nights at his shed watching him build his invention the K-way box. Sharon learned from one of the best.

I have had several brands and Stinger held up fine to the biggest motor I had, over 700 torque & HP with motor rated higher. Probably the best bang for the dollar.

When I posted my thread I was not trying to start a discussion about who makes the best gear drive, I was merely trying to say a big thank you to Sharon for her outstanding customer service towards me.

Not a spoiler just a realist. Stingers are proven and they make a great box. One can't state they are the best when they never tried any others. It's good to hear she's answering the phone again!

I think it was 90 or 91. I had my first Panther car motor boat , it was an 89. Myself and brother in law was at Bruce's house when he got first 12 cases to build boxes. I think that was 92 or 93. Been so long ago , I can't remember exactly.

All the boxes today are improvements to his first box. He drew the helical gear box on paper 20 years ago. He used straight cut gears because then it was a lot cheaper to manufacture them. Sharon has a lot of history behind her.
