Boat ramp at Lake Kissimmee State Park

Post by mrhuffy »

Looks like camp mack boat ramp will be closed this sat and sun (2/27 and 2/28) due to a large charity event. Has anyone used the Lake Kissimmee State Park boat ramp (for a airboat)? I pass it when i put in at camp mack but i have never seen an airboat going in or out of there. If not it looks like River Ranch would be the next closest place.

Thanks

Airboats are not allowed to use the state park ramp. I have also heard Thomas landing is closed now as well. River Ranch, Coleman Landing, Overstreet, oh yea the port also.

He'll cut your throat, baby, stick you in the back, drive off in your Cadillac.
He's more trouble than you think, he'll kill your sugar, leave you in the drink.

Thomas Landing is closed due to death of the owner, correct as well on State Park "NOTE: Air Boats are not permitted to launch from the park due to limited space and safety concerns in the marina area. If visiting or camping, air boats may be towed into the park on their trailers, providing the prop has been tied to the rigging so it cannot be started."

Coleman landing is great
