Thank's Chrissy. A little news about the ride this year. A couple of Southern Airboat Celebrities will be coming for a few days and I know most of the Airboaters that frequent Old Glory will be glad to meet'em. Olf Art :angel4: has committed to be there Friday. Curtis Robinson (unforgiven) a true :old_glory: War Hero :old_glory: who served several tours in Iraq and Afganistan retired about a year ago and moved to :florida: Florida about 3 months ago, an avid Airboater, Outdoorsman and Friend will be there for a few days  . I'll be looking forward to seeing friends I haven't seen in a year. Yes, it's been a whole year since I've been Home. :salute: :old_glory: :florida:

Camp old Glory is about friends and family. You don't have to swap blood like the Indians used to do, just show up regularly (every 5 years or so) and support our family. We do not have a club, we are family. The Veterans Appreciation Day event, the Youth Activity week end event through GFC/FWC/WMD/FSCA, are all a part of what we do best. My personal thanks to ALL that help put these events together. The VAD will not only be for our veterans but for all the volunteers that donate their boats, time and money to put this project together for a very special event. :salute:

It's still a few weeks away and I have never been worried about airboat volunteers. Most will wait till a few days before to chime in because they are regulars and others wait to see if they are needed. To some, it is an inconvenience but (if needed) will come to "give back" and say thanks to some of those that helped make our freedom possible. :salute: My new boat may be available by then and I will see if the boat builder (John Fenner) can spend a few days here at Camp Old Glory and maybe even drive the boat for some of our veterans. The water is about like it was last year and should not be a problem. "Skinny but fun".

typical south fl weather, chance of afternoon showers. No biggie-there will be plenty of boats to do some riding and I'm sure there will be some veteran's showing up :salute:
