GoPro Camera

Post by bentonquick »

Just wondering. I have seen some great GoPro aerial video shots on this site from a Drone , there were amazing. I would like to purchase a small video camera. Just a basic beginner GoPro that is easy to use. Could some of you experts out there weigh in on which one to buy? I don`t want to spend a lot of money. But I would like a good one. Thanks in advance. ( :rebel: :proud: :florida: Not looking for a drone yet.)

Check on Amazon, you can find them from about 100 dollars to 500 dollars and you don't have to worry about getting ripped off.

I use a gopro hero black 3+ for the videos I shoot off my airboat. https://youtu.be/ZzUpQzYGPVA

I have also used it underwater in the keys.

The new HERO4 Session for $200 can do quite a bit. :thumbleft:

What settings do you have your camera on ?? I have same camera and when I video me and the boys riding our dirt bikes it seems like we are going twice as fast as we are.

Thanks

Save your dollars & get a camera that has just as good, or better video than GoPro:
http://www.amazon.com/YI-88001-Action-H ... =Xiaomi+Yi
You have to add the waterproof housing, too. But the combo is still much cheaper than GoPro, & when you "float-test" it eventually, you won't be out as much money!! ;)
It has 'live view' via wifi to your smartphone. It can be modded with aftermarket software if you want to tweak the camera internals.

For the price, you can buy a couple to get varying camera angles. I'm getting a couple for my hovercraft.

Cheers!

You can learn how to slow down or speed up your video during editing. Lots of good free editing programs that can do that. Pick one with a lot of tutorials on youtube. Youtube tutorials can teach you anything if you have any concept of the tech field. I wouldn't give up my GoPro for nothing if you want to know the truth, I have the 4 black with a 3 Axis Gimbal and it makes great videos and its 4k but I shoot most in 1080p because there's a huge gap in devices that can run 4k. Gimbals are getting cheaper and more affordable, I would advise anyone who is serious about making quality videos to invest in one. Hope this helps

x 2 on using software for editing videos :salute:

I have been using windows movie maker - its easy to use plus its a free download http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/movie-maker

one other thing is the video graphics on the editing computer - it needs to have enough horsepower or your viewing will be choppy when viewing the gopro videos.

hope this helps! :rebel:
