Tough Crowd around here...

Hadn't got but 1 guy call and ask about my boat in the classifieds with over 500 views.

a 12' deckover with a a/v0540/3blade 'H' that runs with a ton of extras for 10k. turn key boat.
granted, the photo's in the add don't show the rear seat, air shroud, custom storage box, gas can racks or the storage in the grass rake, but the paint still shines and it ain't all tore up. seen alot less boat for alot more money.
i have more pics i can send from my phone.

found a skiff/motor/trailer for 11k that i want, would like to sell this boat before i get another one.

thinking about bringing it to florida on my week off. I would like the guys who made the hull to look at it and give a honest apprasial/shake down. my paperwork says it's a Davis hull, but it looks to be a Thurman hull or a copy of one. i'd like to get that cleared up.
once i do, the price, depending on the opinion of the experts, may go up. lol

anyway, rant is over.
frogging opens tonight, got to get ready.

At that price your giving it away. The motor and prop are worth that. You need to put it on southern airboat app on Facebook. The south Florida guys will be on that like a bum on a sandwich.

Coming from a south Florida airboater who only buys Thurmans and has seen your ad, I think your main problem is you are too far away. I remember from one of your other threads we were pretty sure yours is a Thurman (or at least a Thurman Kit boat), but your ad calls it a Don Davis. There are some other issues, like that custom rake, the unique rigging, the fact that it looks like a few access ports have been cut into the deck, and you have poly...those are things that guys looking for an old Thurman typically don't like. But at only 10k I'm sure if you bring it down here it will sell.

Read this thread, it has a lot of good descriptions of unique characteristics that Thurmans had. ... 85&t=45587

Or climb inside your hull and look underneath your front deck/bow cap, around the area where your cooler would sit, but on the underneath side (inside the hull looking up). You should see "Airboat Hd Qtrs" written in black or red marker.

good points! i'm sure it will work itself out.

i'm not sure if it's worth mentioning, but just undo 12 bolts and the rake comes off.

if i can fit, i will go look!!!! lol

thanks for the link to that thread, LOTS of info in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

went go look under the front, could not make anything out that is written under there.
i would think the rake is not an issue, it just bolts on. the storage box in the rake is good for keeping the bow rope and a paddle and a few other things.
the alum dry box that fits under the driver and gives you dry storage under the deck is a nice touch. it too just bolts in. i think it's out in the pics.
i think the 3 acess covers that the previous owner put are a bit much, but are nice if u need to look in the hull or run wires.
poly is the way to go around here. i'm not a purest. lol
i hate the rigging, i am a single driver in rear kind of guy. i bought the boat to see what the fuss was about these deckover hulls. nice boat, just not for me.
i sent that thurman guy some pics last week, never heard back from him.
after looking at past threads it's either a Thurman or a copy. nobody knows anything about these hulls around here, i was sold the boat being told it was a Davis hull. when i bought it i wouldn't know a Davis From a Thurman From a diamondback, we all run open workboats down here.
hull id # is FLZD6416084 all them boats were registered as homemade back then.

all i know is that it needs to get out of the boatshed, momma said i can't take a note for my new fishin boat. lol

thanks for the help everybody. if nothing else i got a nice trailer and a av540 to swap when my gpu goes down.

here's a pic of the boat when i got it. i have changed out the expanded metal on the sides of the cage and put norman clay headers/mufflers on it since.
