Welded UMHW Sheets

Post by mad_mike » Tue May 31, 2016 5:03 pm

I contacted Horn Plastics today to price a 12x7x3/8 piece of their Blue Iron. Jason, the rep. Whom I spoke with, informed me as of today they will no longer sell welded sheets that are intended for installation on airboats. Are their any other manufacturers selling welded sheets?

Well, that's a obvious option. Shouldnt need to lie about the intended application of a piece of plastic FCOL.

So what is the max width that they produce then ?

Maybe they are like the building department here, call back tomorrow
and talk to a different person and they will give you a different answer. :banghead:

Just do that everyday until you get the guy that will take your order.

Super slide website says up to 100' long and up to 16' width. I would prefer to not have to lap 4x8' sheets.

Well, we are in complete agreement about that. Not only would I prefer not to . . . I will not.
Nobody that has seen that aftermath first hand would consider it to be a viable option.

That's to bad . . . I was wanting to try some Blue Iron. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Clearly a case of product liability that must have bit them!

Dump truck option is the way to go if it is something you really want
