Not sure if this will help but it is something to look at!

The drive has it's own shaft that is a smaller yoke. A plate in this case a soft drive is bolted to the drives yoke. Then the flex plate will bolt up to the soft drive and connect the engine to the drive. The soft drive plate can be purchased from Panther for about $100 and may serve as a usable component to fabricate your own connection.

Do you have the round gear that sits in the end of the box?

This gear will bolt up holding the flywheel onto the crank (modify and make adapter). Then the box sits on- in it. You have to make a bell housing that thickness to match upto the box flange. Also there is a seal that will be in the housing. It fits over that gear sealing in the gear box oil (keep this in mind as you make adapter or modify the gear). Seal the box to the bell housing - silicone will work.
The vent on the box must be used do not plug it off. If you do the box will build pressure and blow all the seals or the plug out. Use aircraft oil.

 it's a custom one of a kind adapter plate that Bill created from a thick piece of aluminum, I guess some things just need not be explained :thumbleft:

my old fly wheel sat were it would normally with a small steel round plate over it with counter bored holes for the mounting bolts. There was also a threaded pattern in it for the gear that the box slides over. the Bell housing was made out of aluminum the edges were 3/4 thick, the flat back was 1/2 inch.
Not that complicated. Just need the measurement for the bolt patterns for the fly and the gear for the gear box.

I forgot the end of the gear box sits snug inside a hole in the adapter. on an aircraft it sit inside the crank that would be in the adapter the sandwiches the flywheel to the crank.

I remember the design. Really not that difficult. It will just take good measuring and a decent Bridgeport & machinist. My bell housing was a welded assembly.

Remember the gear has to seal against the adapter to. That box only runs maybe 1 qt oil.
