Retiring and Closing Shop

Post by chuckitt@earthlink.net » Tue Jun 14, 2016 10:14 am

I will be 70 years old in October, time for me to retire. I will be closing Airboat Pro on the 30th of this month. On the weekend of 25th and 26th, I will be selling what is left or giving it away. I have the 10 HP 3 Phase Air Compressor in the Classifieds for 1000.00. Make an offer, the highest offer by the 25th of this month at 12 noon gets it. I have desks, work tables and many other items.
I have one 2.4L Ecotec left. I will finish it at my home in Lake Pan. It will be a complete running package with engine stand, fuel tank, Programed ECM and all wired with Can-Buss gauges. The list price was 8700.00. This one goes for 8000.00. 4000.00 down payment.
My shop phone was 352-330-1015. I now have this # on my cell phone. Call me if you need answers are where to get parts or help with your boat.
I also have the Harley Davidson powered Mini Airboat I will be selling after I get it polished up.

After Retirement: I own the domain name chucksworld.com. I plan to start a web site dedicated to my 20 years of building Airboats. Many of my articles, Chucks World will be posted on the site. I also hope to have time to write a book if my 2 great grand kids, Layla 6 and Liyla 3 don't use up all my time.

Thanks for some great years with Airboats and thank you SA, Chuck

Enjoy your retirement Chuck!

As a community of Airboaters are loosing a great resource. I see your door open late and on the weekends. You always have time for those in need with knowledge, wisdom, as well as parts.

You have changed Airboating with your inovation with the etec platform.... Well done my man

Chuck,
Wish the best in your retirement and I should be able to stop by and see you before you close up shop.
Just got my 2.0 ltg mounted on its new stand and got the cage finished up, so wiring is next.
Thanks for all your help.

Chuck, Although I never met you in person I have a great amount of respect for you. I would like to thank you again for the time you spent on the phone with me when I was putting together my first airboat. As I recall you spent close to two hours of your time answering questions and offering advice. Never once did you rush me off the phone or disparage my piece together boat. Hope to see you post on here when not spending well deserved time with your family.

Enjoy the overdue retirement, Ray

Chuck, well deserved and I'm surely gonna miss you still being in business man! Saved my bacon on my old caddy boat plenty of times. If you make it over to Orlando in your travels, stop in and say Hi! Will see if Curtis has any interest in the shop equipment; he'll be getting his ASE certs completed by Dec and going out on his own.

Thanks to everyone that posted. I know and respect all of you. I would like to comment on each one but don't have time at the moment.
Note: I would except a smaller air compressor in trade for my 10 HP compressor.

Thank You, Chuck

Happy retirement!
I will give you a ring soon.
I appreciate all that you have done for me for the last 10 years with my two boats.
