16x8 glass hull?
16x8 glass hull?
A friend of mine is looking for a new hull to replace his old one and asked me to look around for him, the hull he has now is a 16x7 Rivermaster with a DD500. Who makes the best hull, who has the best price, etc? This is now a tire kicker post, he must get a new hull and he will be purchasing one so any and all help is greatly welcomed. Thanks guys I will check back a little later.

In case you don't know, Marty Bray is the man who made the original Rivermaster hull molds.
Those molds, unfortunately are sitting idle and unused in S Florida, the last I knew.
The better news is that Marty has made a new and improved version of the original classic.
His number is all over the board here, you should have no problem finding it if somebody doesn't post it.
I believe Swamphunter is running the exact hull your buddy is looking for. The last time Chuck posted pricing I believe it was 220/foot. That has not changed for a good while so I would expect it could before long. Call him.
There are others, but when I have to replace ours, most likely it will be with a 16' Marty Bray.

I like the Rivermaster hull but I do with it had a little taller transom. This boat is used on the River and it is used on the Bay for duck hunting. When running in chop that low transom tends to let water in.

Call me Brother, you still got my number? Marty's fiberglass hulls are far SUPERIOR in quality of product, workmanship, and ride. I have no interest in starting "Glass Warfare" but I'm not gonna back down from speakin my mind.... Ive rode the others referenced here .... they don't compare (Fact) ... so you will need to make more than one call !!!
Yes you may pay a touch more and wait a bit longer, but you know the old saying (...You get what you pay for...)

X2
Marty Bray is honest as they come, he builds a strong solid boat. Been in both and the Rivermaster don't flinch, flex and bend in the chop.
