OlfArt- Ken Johnson
Re: OlfArt- Ken Johnson
Words can not describe the pain we feel when this happens to someone we care about. In the 10 short years that I've known Ken we had many talks and not enough visits. I will miss his phone calls, "Hey brother, I was just thinking of you and had to call". I am proud to have known him as a great friend and a "Brother". As we part upon the square, R.I.P. brother.

Re: OlfArt- Ken Johnson
Hate to hear of this ... Ken volunteered with me on a Crab Trap near Riverview. We had a great day together. It was the first time we had met, before that it was thru SA or phone. Our Airboat collected the most traps that day. He smiled like a big kid the whole time.

Re: OlfArt- Ken Johnson
Thanks for kind words everybody. Mom appreciates it.
I don't mean to sound abrupt so please forgive me but I don't have much time.
Her and Ken had a storage shed in Plant City full of stuff that he accumulated over the years and couldn't part with. She's needing to get out from underneath the expensive monthly tab of paying for it all so I was wondering if anyone wanted to go by and have a look.
She'll be there from 12 noon till 3 o'clock or probably later on Saturday the 18th. Tomorrow I think?? The times off here and I don't even know what day it is half the time anyway. Anyways, she wants to clean it out and close it down. What she can't sell to someone she'll bring back up to my place and I'll sell it when I get home if I can't find a use for it.
He had some old outboards (real old antiques not just 20 year old stuff), an ultralight prop of some sort on a stand, a bunch of tools, and a lot of other "things". I honestly can't remember what all was in there since it's been so long. I'm not promising any treasure but it might be worth your while if you feel like driving over there.
Mom doesn't know what she might be sitting on so please, if you do go, give her an honest price. She'll pretty much give it away knowing her but don't abuse it if you know what I mean. She could definitely use any bit she gets.
If interested, PM me for further details. Also, If anyone has some young un's that feel like helping two old ladies do some heavy lifting I'd really appreciate that too...I can't do it from the other side of the world.
Thanks guys.

Re: OlfArt- Ken Johnson
Its a real shame to hear this news. Ken was a real friend of Texas Airboaters and always tried to bridge the gap between our groups!
He was a class act and gave sage advise, when Ken commented on something I read it slowly so I made sure I understood.
Prayers for the family,

This is very sad news indeed. Ken was a great guy both on the board and otherwise.
He will definitely be missed. Prayers sent.

i met Ken about ten years ago when some fine folks were re-building Bud Marquis's sled. after the build, they planned a ride and Ken contacted me to smoke some of my pulled pork to take down for the ride. since then he has came back for plenty more. he was a fine man and a joy to talk to. If any of you are off tomorrow (Tuesday the 30'th of May), we will be spreading Ken's ashes in Lake George. I'll be at the little unimproved ramp on the south end of the lake (sorry, I don't know what the regular's call it, It's not my usual area to ride) around 1000. Plan on heading north towards the springs. If anyone wants to join us and you respond by 0730, I'll be sure to wait on you at the ramp otherwise it's just gonna be me and Mom.
