Nelp help with ID airboat

Post by scjarena » Wed Dec 20, 2017 9:22 am

Does anyone know who built this type of airboat setup? I know it has a OMC engine which they put on old Cushmans. I think its about 18hp, but I don't know if the entire thing is homemade or if some company built this setup. It has a wood prop. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

If a company built that motor stand , I'm sure they are out of business.

yeah, and they went out of business a long time ago. lol That thing is older than my grandma. I saw it sitting on my neighbor's property. Not a lot of power there, but might be cool on a small boat.

8) Well theres TeleFlex before TeleFlex was cool

Looks like a set up that was intended to be dropped into a john boat.

Wasn't there a company, Dragon fly that made those kits to drop in a Jon boat. Maybe somebody tried to copy them ?

I am building my own mini airboat, like that, your old is direct drive, my new boat is belt reduction, so the gravity will lower.
I am not sure why you are looking for manufacture, do you want get one ? or repair this?
