Dave Balman passed away yesterday, he was a long time friend and a lifetime airboater, gladesman and great friend. He was President of the Airboat Association of Fla for over 30 years. He was a long time fighter for the everglades .always had good stories and a good sense of humor.
He and his wife Carol of 52 years worked the check station at the 40 mile bend so there should be quite a few folks who knew them
Our family is grateful for the times we had with him and his family.

Sorry to hear from Edwards Family, used to see him at the check station with my dad on Friday nights and sundays, also used to see his yellow dodge all over bird road during the week. I don't live in Miami anymore but sad to see glades culture pass on.

So sorry to hear about the loss of a long time friend in Dave Balman. Dave and Carol both did a lot for the hunters and airboaters South Of The Loop. We will definitely miss him.
God bless the family and may I see you again in glory.
