This year's Mack's fish camp trip...
It is with a sad heart that I must inform all my south FL friends that I will be unable to make it down this year. There have been many trying issues that have caused this, not the least of which, my truck being stolen in July. I'm still a few thousand from paying the new one off and won't be able to make it. I will certainly miss you all and hope to see you again soon. Hope you will continue the tradition in my absence. In the meantime, I will continue to dream of being in the glades, riding with you all.

We will surely miss y'all this year. I hope you are able to atleast make it down for some festivities, even if you just come in a rental. Shoot, we can get all the fixins upon arrival and make it a cover dish event this year . The water should be just right (like it is always managed ) if Mother water Managment has her way
God bless you brother, hope all goes mich smoother this new year.

Thanks, brother! I will certainly miss y'all as well. If there is any way possible, I will try to make it down at some point. The issue is Having to pay out so much, I likely wont have the money to afford the gas for the trip. I will definitely let y'all know if something changes.

Yea man. Will miss getting together, talking, riding and eating. I know it's a big commitment for you to come down. Take care of your priorities and we hope your financial dust settles. Covered dish is a great idea. No need to get extravagant, although the crawfish boil was awesome.

You can get a ride on any number of boats mine included. As far as the food, we will eat, maybe a everglades thing, frog leg fry, I'm sure we could find a mess of fish. Oscars are great and easy to catch Bass if you want. Oscars are a pain in the ass to clean but table fair is excellent. That and like Rick said covered dish.

It's not all about the food, a peanut butter & jelly sandwich and a long ride with friends would make my day.

I hear ya! I HAVE been thinking about trying to make a short trip down in my car, if nothing but to get to see you guys. I really enjoy spending time with all of you and LOVE it down in the glades.
I have to go to the DR next week to see where I stand on having surgery (nothing major). I'll be out of work for 2 weeks following the surgery, so maybe I can just throw some clothes in the car and roll out. I will certainly let y'all know if I can make it happen.

No, never heard anything from it. I assume it was out of state within 24 hrs.

Would've been nice if you had some kind of tracker on it. The newer model trucks are traceable. Used to a long time ago stealing was uncommon. Everybody knew the consequences. Times have changed though. In the long run theives never prosper.radtech wrote:No, never heard anything from it. I assume it was out of state within 24 hrs.

I hear ya! On hindsight, I would have for sure. It was originally a '90 Silverado junker, but with a racing 350 in it. I spent a good bit restoring it, then someone stole it. I'd love to have that engine back for an airboat.

Yep nice looking truck. Theres a big problem about stealing where I live. It's terrible. How did they steal it? They get a hold of the keys or hot wire it or something?

And insurance won't come close to what you have in it. Nice clean truck, last of the bench seats.

Yes, it was, Gary. And the real kicker was, I hadn't had the chance to change my insurance, so basic liability didn't pay a dime. I was out for the whole truck.

Typical. Countries like Saudi Arabia don't have a problem with thieves. They cut your hand off if caught stealing. Therefore it's pretty much nonexistent.radtech wrote:In through the back glass and hot wired it. Hate a damn thief
