Need help on lake Panasoffkee

Postby k-dog » Sat Feb 03, 2018 6:46 pm

Going on road trip to Florida from NC and now finding out there are lakes with 11 pm curfew there needs to be a web page that shows these lakes listed so everyone knows where to avoid. I’m not the guy to raise hell around houses but love to bowfish and its at night so finding out the lakes that have a curfew before we head down will determine our trip path. We had high hopes for panasoffkee for gar looks like there are no homes on the east side of the lake that’s where we were going to put in at and fish. But don’t need a big ticket to piss me off on the trip. Anyone that lives around here know for sure???

I'll respond here largely because no one else has. I don't believe there is a curfew on Lake Pan.
Nor would I anticipate you bothering anybody on the east side of that lake.
I don't know about launching on that side though, it's pretty undeveloped, afaik.
If you go on the west side of the river, there IS an 11:00 curfew in Citrus County.
I know of no such curfew east of the river in Sumter though.

There IS a county imposed curfew on Panny. Off the top of my head, I can't remember if it's 10 or 11PM. As for launching from the Coleman boat ramp over on the East side, I wouldn't leave my vehicle there unattended in daylight, much less after dark.

I’ve been there.

It’s not a place you'd want to be, and the area you go through to get there isn’t either.

Or even worse, come back to find your truck sitting on 24's and sportin' one of those paint jobs that changes color depending on how you look at it.
