Standard bow cleat on both the towing boat and the boat being towed.

Drive right over top of the tow strap.

Put a towel / rag over the strap mid way between the two boats to help (not eliminate) risk of carnage if tow strap breaks.

The advantage of pulling from the front of the towing boat is that you keep part of your steering ability. You can do this in the water or on the hill.

I have dedicated tow rings on the transom that hare beefed up where they attach Diamondback did that for me on my Search & Rescue boat and I also build a specialized tow strap just for Airboat that several members on this site have tried and loved and I have used it several times towing Bass boats off of sand bars up here in Georgia and once in Fla at lake O and it worked fantastic

You don't drive over the rope you tie the front of your boat to the back of the broke boat usually I tie to their cage and just push them back to the hill thus way you got complete control of both boats

Actually I was taught in a pinch in water you can run the tow line from bow eye to the tow but make sure a towel is mid way to buffer a break.

TOW PRO's feel free to correct me

I have tried pushing. Didn't like it because the cage on the other boat rubs on the rake a bunch. I prefer pulling also. I have two 20 foot straps and a 50 foot strap that I use. Need to get that boat as far back as you can. I pulled a tour boat back to the ramp one time. On plane all the way. 8) Even saw an EcoTurd boat pull another boat on plane using this approach. :stirpot: I wonder if A/C boats can pull other boats on plane. :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot:
