Have been with Markel for the last 5 years but sold that boat for a bigger one. Looking at another Diamondback but Markel has now declined to cover the new boat since it's got a hybrid cage, even though the boat is currently insured by them.
I know not everyone is paying cash for these new boats, most of which no longer have a full cage, and a finance company is going to require them to have insurance. Any suggestions? Located in North Central FL if that helps.

Try Gieco in West Palm Beach-Steven Sprague 561-616-5944 - i didnt have any trouble getting coverage for $40K, but they did require a lot of pictures and documentation.

A friend just recommended them, they wouldn't insure an airboat when we bought the other one but they did his with a hybrid cage. Thanks!!

Markel wants the engine covered this is what I had to do to get ins. Zip tied some wire so engine was not exposed. Take some pictures send them in to them They insured boat. zip ties are the key if you know what I mean. First picture was when they denied coverage next ones were after changes and they insured boat.
