Airboat Ride

I noticed an individual posting elsewhere recently, referring to taking an Airboat for a "Drive"

That seems really weird to me...

I never heard no Airboater ever say, "Let's all go for a drive over to such and such" when they out in the marsh.

Since I was a kid, I have only ever heard of Airboaters say they taking a ride.

Like a horse or a motorcycle, Airboats are always ridden, unless the horses are hitched to a wagon. At least that been my life long recollection of how Airboaters talk. Never seen a wagon hitched to an Airboat.

I can understand some tourist saying: "We bought a ticket at the so and so Airboat Rides, and they took us for a fantastic drive through the Everglades"

Don't much matter I guess really.
... tourists... weird...

If it ain't got a steering wheel then you can't drive it! I agree horse, scooter, airboat, etc. is a ride. Now what about riding lawnmowers huh? Think about that lol

Hmmm Cowboy,
Does that mean SA is more educated in riding -driving-sliding?

hdsadey is also correct and I've never heard one airliner captain say drive.

Of course that brings up ALL THOSE that have been airboatin on a tour boat. I guess they have,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Now

This reminds me of the old days of SA. We really got into the important stuff.

Dusty, Grant, Yobe, and a lot more... Painterchick... they had all the important stuff like this out for comment....

Good Job!

We say we hunt deer, but catch hogs, usually have to catch a lot of hogs just to kill a deer. So "Wha'dya catch?" sounds normal to me.

No worries Cowboy!

I take it that you didn't have a 2nd grade english teacher from england in cracker town usa that said "NO" behind every question?
I wanted to slap that slit on a regular daily basis, but summer school was bitchin after second grade!

Do you understand, no. Do you not understand ,no.

On the weekend I like to drive, ride, slide, float, paddle, tow,or troll my airboat. The loud motor, bright paint, and whirl of the prop help me forget the Monday through Friday grind.

Sometimes I let it puuuur in the backyard so the neighbors can join in to
