Hovercraft on Lk Harney

Post by jchovernut »

It’s that time of year again....the weekend before Sun-n-Fun, I host the Hoverclub of America Central FL Cruise. We’re on Lk Harney at Ft Lane park in Geneva again this weekend. Sat will be a cruise to downtown Sanford, then Sunday we’ll explore Puzzle Lake & the Econ. Come by for a look at these low-flyers, or give a wave out on the river.

Sounds like a ton of fun! I wish I was in the area. I hope you'll film some of it and post it somewhere.

I used to race them back in the late 80's & early 90's. I had a Scat with a Rotax 503. Raced in FL, Ohio & Indiana. Was a member of the HCOA. They are cool machines.
Have a great ride.

very cool! What type of speeds do you get with those things? I'm assuming they don't carry a load as well as an airboat do they?
