Wheres all the wildlife?

Post by Keeth1123 » Sun Oct 20, 2019 4:15 pm

Besides cows, turkeys, and other birds, I have only seen one deer in the past two years on the Kissimmee Chain. Is anyone seeing any hogs or deer?

Deer hide from CM boats, they feel safe about 100 yards from water. Just like the rabbits in my yard, I have a wireless fence system run along a real fence, the dogs wear shock collars so they stop 10 feet from the fence. Rabbits live along the fence where the dogs can't get.

Put a O-540 on that boat and take off the shock collar :stirpot:
I grew up thinking I-10 was the Mason Dixon line.

I have been thinking about coming to the light side or dark side whatever it’s referred to, but it’s been good to me so far.

Good Post!
FWC is already renting wardens to DOT for interstate heavy haulers or road control?

Saw 7 different bucks in 1 day when we were last up there (mid July), all in velvet, all in the water chest deep. That's by far the most I've ever seen up there, usually it's 1 here and there. Got some nice pics on my phone, wish I knew how to post them here from my phone.

There isn’t any more deer or hogs left on the chain even in AC territory. So I believe all the hunters need to leave it alone and just hang out with the CM boats on the edge.
