Not sure but I think he was just bumping it to the top of the list.

Thanky A1

:)

BTW.... I'm working on some really good maps of the run. Adam gave me good recon of the place names and exact locations, and within 24 hours or so (I hope) I'll have them all posted. Including enough info to get driving directions to the various launch points.

Totally seperate, what is the rule for castnetting in that chain? I usually cast net for my own bait. Does anyone know the rules off the top of their head? The places I usually fling the net are places an enforcement officer has not seen in years. But that'll probably be different from what I've read about this area. I want to make sure I'm on the up & up in that area.

thanks.

matt.

Another place to check out for accomodations is Cypress Lake RV & Sports Resort. They were remodeling back in July, and should be ready by now. Contact info is (407) 957-3135 - 3301 Lake Cypress Rd, Kenansville, FL 34739. It's too late at night right now, or I'd call them to get more particulars. But the new owner is VERY airboat friendly, and said their restaurant would be open by late August. They have a few cabins and several RV spots, as well as bait & tackle and were trying for both regular fuel and avgas when we talked to them. Call first to make sure.

Let's remember it's also hunting season by then, and a LOT of people -- even airboaters -- hunt around Lake Kissimmee and the adjoining waterways during the day. That's what makes the night ride idea so good!

Basketcase,

The FAA meeting - you are able to attend because SAO is a member and you are a member of SAO - but, you might have to sit and observe because SAO will have a delegate to speak for all of us -

FAA meet

Big Daddy,

10-4 on the "sit down' and "shut up"! I realize the structure and the importance of the organization. I think it would be an honor for most to just be "in the loop" by being an observer.

I believe there can be no "Us" and "Them" in FAA. Us is airboaters and Them is those that hate us.

We are a tiny minority of resource users and our favored vessel is different than any other. We must pull this load together. There is a place in FAA for all levels of individual effort. We will start a new journey on October 08, regardless of who is at the helm. We owe it all to those leaders and members who brought FAA to the place it is today. We owe our future generations of airboaters to be smart enough and work tirelessly to assure there is a place in Florida's future for us.

I can't think of a finer group of folks to associate with and to work toward common goals with.
