Malware Warnings...

Post by rick » Wed Jul 31, 2013 3:21 pm

Sorry about the malware warnings that some of ya'll are getting. I'll be doing some site work to get rid of them. I've searched & tested SA in various ways and have never found anything out of line, but some anti-virus programs are showing alerts so we gotta fix'er up one way or another.

I'm working in the dark a little bit because my anti-virus (AVG) isn't showing warnings so I'd appreciate it if some of ya'll would list your browser & anti-virus program and whether or not you're getting the warnings.

Thanks,
Rick

Rick,

Avast (the free version) is giving it. The only way to get in is to disable it. It is happening in explorer as well as chrome.

IE9 with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013. Get trojan warning on Java. Here is the report:

HEUR:Exploit.Java.CVE-2013-2423.gen
object: http://www.danasapparel.com/danatest/me ... e05303f78/ ?f=a&k=3820869197046834

So, it would appear the problem originates outside your code and the source is the advertiser.

Hope that helps.

I went back through the reports and found the previous incident and this is what that report said:

HEUR:Exploit.Java.CVE-2013-2423.gen
object: http://www.simbalechat.com/forum/phpBB/ ... 381fe8789/ ?f=a&k=7431902846046835

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm hoping the quick fix is in place and will work on a permanent one shortly...I'm on vacation & got the smoker going right now :)

Rick, I'm running Fire Fox and the Full Paid AVG Suite and the full paid version of Malware Bites. I see no reports.
