Open carry hand gun while fishing?

Post by bentonquick » Sun Mar 10, 2013 4:19 pm

I was just talking to a friend of mine from Naples and he told me you can open carry a handgun while fishing or camping. Fl. statute 790.25-h. Does everyone know about this except me? :old_glory: :proud: :rebel: :alabama:

Just remember, you can be perfectly legal by the book in every way and if LEO writes you a ticket or takes you to jail it is your task to prove yourself innocent, the LEO has to prove nothing, it cost you regardless, cost him nothing regardless. Innocent until proven guilty is a myth, you are guilty when you step in the court room, got to prove your innocence

Well in this area its done all the time. . We have nothing to hid. We pull and and talk to the law. There just normal people with a terrible job my opinion on there line of work. Never had a problem generally respect them and they respect you.

I feel open carry should absolutely be legal, I also feel it's something you should stay away from. No sense in letting a criminal know who is armed up front. Like when I go into a pawn shop and invariably the guy behind the counter is open-carrying. Well were I of an inclination he'd be the first one down before he knew it. Then on to my nefarious business. Were I of that nature. Just sayin' no need in forecasting your capability.

I JUST GOT DONE READING THE STATUTE, MAYBE IT'S ME, BUT HOW DO YOU INTERPRET "OPEN CARY"? IS IT IMPLIED, OR IS IT STATED SOMEWHERE ELSE?

Get a CCL. The govt already knows you have a gun, if you went through the waiting period. They aren't supposed to, but in today's day and time, I'd put nothing past them. I wouldn't open-carry. Everyone else knows you have a gun. If you have a Hunter's Safety course, you don't need to take a class, just go to your nearest Dept of Ag licensing and they will finger print and photo you. 30-90 days to get your license. If you don't want the hassle, put your holstered gun in your deck box or in a small pistol case under your seat and don't worry about it. Just my .02.

I personally would never, never, never buy a gun from a dealer.
there is two of the poorest investments a man makes, buy a new automobile or buy a new gun.......
if you don't believe me just look in the classified's.
(I bought this gun new paid $750. dollars for it only shot it once want $700. for it)
hate to tell you but that $750. dollar gun is now worth about $300 dollars.
go buy a $100,000. thousand dollar corvett don't move it or start it.
try and sell it, you would be lucky to get $80,000 for it..
