Water 2A

Post by newoldglory » Tue Jul 30, 2013 7:42 pm

The water level peaked on Saturday covering the yard here at Old Glory. It made a great play ground for the children during the event and even some swimming but that wasn't safe because of the boats. Marty Bernett was here with his 2 children and thanks to his daughter a couple of small cottonmouth moccosins were spotted which was promptly removed. :thumbleft: The water is now receeding and my yard will recover soon.

No, they were on the small size and were out in the sun too long and were over flavored.

Ya that water was high! I personally don't remember ever seeing it higher then that. Gerald Thanks again for opening up your camps to us all and ya my 4 kids absolutely loved playing in the mud and the water! I saw those snakes earlier and didn't think anything of them just told the kids to stay away from the fire pit but your concern for the kid's and everyone else's safety and making sure all had a good time was really appreciated. :salute:
