How is it this year in Homosassa area and or Crystal River closer to the power plant? Thinking of going in a couple of weeks.

We did good out of crystal river last week. Tides weren't right for when we could go so it was incoming. After an hour or two the jelly fish got bad so we called it.

I'd say it's been one of the best seasons yet. Crystal river was great last weekend as far as scallops go. Limited out 10gal in no time with my group. My brothers crew did just as good in steinhatchee on a separate venture. Get on the water soon because there are hundreds of boats out along the coasts every weekend!

Haven't been in years, but Keaton Beach (North of Steinhatchee) used to be good too. Love to eat 'em. How do y'all cook 'em up? Fried? Baked?
