Bears in Brevard County-First Time on Camera on our Property

Postby Mackokid » Sun Jul 31, 2016 12:08 am

First time on camera on our property :banghead: . I've been on the property since 2006 and the owners have been here since the early 90's. The owners claimed to have never seen them before on their property. First I've heard of them in this area as well.

Came by on 7/22 at 2:45 AM. Looks about the same size as the one I got last year in Ocala, roughly 200 lbs I reckon. Anyone seen any in Brevard before? I talked with an ol' timer down the road and he claimed to have not seen them around since the 70's. I hope he/she doesn't decide to come back.....

NOTE: The date and times on the first 3 are from a camera that does not have the date or time set correctly (owners camera). The last three are set correctly (my camera).

Yea? Man...... I've hunted Toso for many years and have never seen one. Or any tracks to boot! Guess I need to watch out next time I'm out there....

My personal experience is the "Big Bend" map section is very reserved and "East Panhandle" is spot on.

I believe he is talking about a hunting club in mims. And years ago I saw bear tracks at 5a that butts up to that hunting lease.

They caught one down here in town not to long ago. They are all over, we need to organize and make sure we can hunt them next year

Never heard of this place, checked out their website and they have a few pictures of bears on there. Reckon I've been lucky not having them show up before...... man I hope they don't come back!!

Where's this place at by the way? Don't see a map of the property on the website. I wonder if their close to our property.....
