I doubt it, man. I can only think of a few ways someone could finance just a motor.

1. Signature loan at your bank. Unsecured debt and interest will probably be high as hell. You could probably get an entire boat financed easier.

2. Credit card. Same issues with #1.

3. A motor shop agree to put you on time, but I doubt it, and you can't really blame them. Overhead, problems of trying to collect, repossession of goods from default, and the clerical work just to keep up with all that. I don't know it all and there may be a shop that will set you up on something, but I doubt it. Too much of a risk. Plus, an airboat motor is sold for say, $10,000. Someone runs the piss out of it and losses their job. Motor comes back to the shop and needs $3000.00 worth of repair. Motor shop now has $13,000.00 in a motor that will sell for $10,000. I know there is profit margins not accounted for, but I'm just trying to explain it isn't good business for the shop owner. They have the possibility of having way more money into something than they can sell it for.

My dad has managed a family lumber yard for 35+ years. I've seen the problems with in store credit. People flat don't pay, and it's sometimes not their fault. Can't get blood from a turnip. In this economy, this problem is amplified. Still, the supplier is out of the product.

Best of luck to you. Hope this helps.

no prob/any shop would prolly accept this:
any motor you want
pay 100.00 per month or per week - your choice.
or pay as little as 10.00 a week or month.
when the motor is paid for

it can be built.......

My mistake. I guess I thought he was talking about a cash and carry situation.

I don't know anyone that will finance. But some will take yours in on trade. Don't expect to get top dollar for it though.

Most of the stuff we do is 50% now and total when engine is picked up. We also take trades, but like stated above you'd be better to sell outright to get more for it. Let me know if I can help. Thanks buddy!

Not to be a hater or anything but 5k sounds steep.
I recently talked to Jr. and he gets 5k for a run out ready to go.
I know I didn't pay nowhere near that for mine, although mine is an h series
It also came complete. JMO of course.
