Oil temp probe leak

Post by sseater »

I'm having a leak where the line comes thru the fitting in the center. Here are some pics. The engine just got overhauled so I may be missing something. Here's what I have.

I had to get some brass fittings from lowes, that probe needs to seat on a surface otherwise it will just fall into the housing I had the same problem, also the only thread I could find that would fit it being a fine thread was a tubeing type fitting then drill out the inside of the fitting so the probe can pass through and seat to be tightened. It's worked so far I'm sure there's a spacific part for it but that the 5$ way iv found. I'm sure someone will chime in on it
