Does it pop back or just lazy to rev?

My guess would be a 77 or 78 main jet atleast 32 squirter and no play in acc pump linkage. Idle screws set properly. Float level at bottom of hole or top of sight window. 7# fuel pressure is a start

Install a # 37 squirter or drill it out to .037, adjust the pump arm where you have no free play, reinstall the # 77 main Jets, leave the 10.5 power valve installed. ( if it blows black smoke out the exhaust, do a top end job ) Adjust the metering plate idle screws to 1 turn out.
You can turn the brown pump cam upside down for a harder shot if needed.
Let me know how it works.
Thanks, Chuck

X2 on the no play in the accelerator pump arm. No need for bigger jets, 74 is perfect for these engines, what is the timing set at?
I never finish anyth,,,.

Also, check the pilot jets for corrosion, they are the small orifice brass jets pressed into the metering plate on either side of the power valve. A good ream with a torch tip cleaner helps.
