Help!!!! Starter Issues

Post by toad36racing » Sun Oct 26, 2014 12:45 am

hey guys, help with, finding a starter and a flywheel to fit a Continental GPU. What will fit/work on them? The one I have just "grinds" on the fly wheel while spinning it over. Teeth are a bit worn on the flywheel. Also, seems like the starter doesn't have enough torque to turn the newly redone top end engine. Spins about 4 times and gets slow.

Try leaving your mags off while starting then turning them on once you got it spinning good. Check your brackets make sure their not flexing.

Just one mag by the way. Yes the bracket does flex a bit.

The Norman Clay kit is the cats meow. Cost you initially but well worth never having these headaches in the future.
