PROPER ENGINE MOUNTING

Post by Lwells » Fri Dec 19, 2014 11:56 am

I am a newby airboat owner and need some help. This is all new to me as far as the boat rigging and engine hookup. I have a 2000 Panther rigged for a 320 lycoming. I bought a 320 mounted on a stand but my question is: When I put the engine in my boat I have two mounts, upper and lower and then a lower mount on other end that is a single. I have mounts and bolts for the lower mounting due to engine mounted on stand but don't have uppers. I would think that engine should be mounted with the upper and lower mounts when mounted on the boat. If so then I need to buy the upper mounts and bolts. Am I correct on this or do they just use the lower mounts. Thanks for any help .

My O360 200 used all four front mounts and a single rear mount. Smart money says use all the mountings ya can.

Thanks, I figured I should use them all but thought I would ask. Where is the best, cheapest and or closest place or person to get some lord mounts and bolts in the Okeechobee area?
