My mufflers are good pipes are rusting out. I wondering about performance, h pipe back pressure documentation. The mufflers Dan has are junk the small stainless hallow tubes. Those at airboatmufflers.com look like just a stainless glass pack. I was looking for better. You back in town.

Dang they weigh 7lbs a piece, you would have to subtract roughly 2 gallons avgas to run them ted.

They are really good a bit heavy yes but are actually stainless 100% so lasting should be no problem at all and look at the price. I want mine quiet so I went with a good muffler. Those cut down glass pack type are not actual mufflers and only made to try and cheat the law just for looks and will do no good in helping out with all of the curfews growing every year. How fast is Florida growing and how long do we want to be able to use our boats.

I traded other mufflers like s/s flowmaster 40 series wright off header and it started to build xtra heat in the cyclinders don't alot but over time of runing it would add up.called lycoming and they said veryyyy little back pressure is fine.went to those s/s bullets and temp droped back down to where it was before and had a little bite more snap.
I had same motor as u do av fuel inj io 540.
will an H pipe make any difference- worth doing

You cannot go by that these are not magnaflow. I found them hunting for a true 100% stainless muffler I did not want another rusty muffler and most others are crap.

Mufflers are not designed to be mounted straight off the headers and can only hurt performance ask anyone who runs a dyno.

A real dyno room has an exhaust set up that they hook to the headers and it goes out side so the engine isn't breathing it's own exhaust. But hey, keep lookin at YouTube dynos, there top of the line!! Roflmao

A lot of them I believe don't have exhaust setups and I believe they enjoy the fumes :slap: And the answer yes a buddy of mine owns and operates a dyno in but then again his is for cars and done the correct way and ive been around them for many years.
