best hull for a 4 cylinder
i got a good running true 200 im looking for a new 11 ft deck over. its on an 10'6 3/4 deck now with a stainless bottom and will not run dry. its a heavy hull and that stainless is sticky. this year im going to order a new hull and im not sure what to go with. id like to stay with 11 ft i was looking at war daddy benny webb and don davis all nice rides. i heard the don davis hulls have a tendency to hop which i dont like and i heard the war daddy decks have a tendency to oil can and you can't beat a benny webb there just expensive. whats your opinion on a hull for a 200

Get Mike Stossel to build you a hull and you will be well satisfied.

Yup, or one of Wade Hamant's light hulls would be a nice choice too. What you're wanting is definitely doable. What prop do you have on that 200?Scarecrow wrote:Get Mike Stossel to build you a hull and you will be well satisfied.![]()

Can't imagine a good running true 200 not being able to make a 10'6 run dry.

Re: best hull for a 4 cylinder
I think Don Davis will argue the hopping point with you. My brother has one and it don't hop a bit, at any speed
Re: best hull for a 4 cylinder
Davis or Thurman would be my choice. I have an 11 x 6'8 Thurman with a 180 and it is one of the smoothest free running hulls I have ever owned.

Re: best hull for a 4 cylinder
Look in my pics I just had an 11'6 x 7 Al David built (performance airboats) with an 0360 stainless rigging, Polly and it runs like a raped ape, runs dry good, runs water even better, skinny or deep. I highly recommend getting a hold of Al and having a look. I have owned all the big name fulldeck boats and performance airboats is by far the best.
