Hello all was wondering if anybody else has had porting work done to there heads?from what we have been reading it adds a xtra 5-6 hp per cyclinder this was done on a 540 AV.
. ty for ur time for reading.
Jamie were you guys able to support the 5HP per cylinder gain on a dyno? 6x5=30HP
If that's the case I think there would be a lot of interest. (if the price isn't way up there)

I would guess maybe a 20-25hp gain overall if the person who does the work knows what they are doing otherwise I have seen more people who do not know what they are doing actually make their engine worse..

You sure found the right motor then, because
I've never seen a motor that burns more
Oil ...
We used a flow bench to get best results on a mock cylinder, then matched all the rest to it, sad as hell with all of that plus many other mods, the engine was never truly wrung up, I even doubt the rings got broke in.

300$ each head/jugg.
We need both head and jug attached together to do the porting work.
Brother Jeff thank you sir for all your help with the pics your the man.
If you can, get a spot face to square up the port end of the guide, it would be beneficial to the next machinist to do the seat grinding, especially if he is a cheap hack like me using antique black and decker stems and stone holders
