Carb id # for franklin 0199/0200

Postby southern safaris » Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:07 am

Wondering if anyone has a carb id #10- for the franklin 0199 or 0200 , the only manual i have just stating ma3-f

I found a ma3 10-2153 just not sure if it'll work says its for a franklin 0170 im just not familiar with that engine.....lycoming/continental are a little eaisier to work with I've just got a softspot for old Franklins and this one has me chasing my tail a little

Thanks gmac, i picked up that other carb anyways it was a good buy.... just wondering is it the power jet or metering valve maybe that sets it apart from the 10-2302?

usually the main nozzle/jet is the only difference......I cannot find that 10-2153 number carb any where in the Marvel Schebler book...imo the best carb for that engine would be the #3 carb for an 0-200 cont or an 0-235 lyc….both produced the same hp and rpm as the franklin...knowing that I do have jets for both those carbs you could put in the 2153....some of those old carb were for 45-65 and 85 hp engines and would not be enough for your franklin that makes about 100-105 hp but the 0-200 is 100 hp and the 0-235 is 108 to 115 hp more in line with your engine
