Yes Felber the first one will be NA. I believe they will get one NA motor and then one blower motor. They both will be fuel injected and that is what they are realy after. I know they will buy one or two then start building their motors their selves! There is no doubt they are going to start building their own boats and motors. I now believe the most valuable thing I have learned from AEW is how to charge the copy watch makers.

Yup, it sounds like they want to buy your fuel injection programming, Dave.

She is a beast and is on a 18ft survey boat. They put over a hundred hours on it in one month. The owner say’s they haven’t been able to get her stuck yet! She run’s like a Champ swinging a 4 blade!

Just a question?? If they wanted a 501 why not just get a big block?

Money not an object.

501 LS motor. Now thats really something.

When I wear out my 434 23 degree motor, I will own a 430cid FI LS motor.

Sure wish I had found this website a couple years sooner. :)

I understand wanting to do your own thing, heck I could write a book on that, but an outfit like this kind of threw me. I mean why have somthing so exotic, when you could just build a big block for less money?

I know on the boats I run an 500 inch LS will run better then a big block! Once again it comes down to preferance also these guy's have ran dozens of 572BBC and they like the big LS much better! Also they burn over a tank less of fuel a day with the LS and when you run your boat for profit that's very important. They told me they save over $150 a day on fuel alone! An Aluminum LS vs an aluminum BBC the LS is around $3,500 cheaper just for the block alone!

As a guy building a large cube ls engine, (481) i am pretty sure a guy could build a 496 chev or even a 540 quite a bit cheaper,, and have similar performance, including fuel consumption...
Hell my crank cost bout 1500 dollars, and had 6 peices of mallory in it.. bout 1100 dollars more than a bblock... ?What is the price range for a waterthunder 500 cubic inch LS?? 25,000?? 18,000??

I have learned when you build a custom motor they all cost about the same. Big Block, Small Block, Chevy, Dodge, Ford even OLD's and Caddy!

when you say the ls block is 3500 cheaper are you comparing a production 6 ltr ls, with an aftermarket 8.2 or larger big block??? it seems to me that pound for pound and cubic inch for cubic inch, bb chev and aftermarket LS blocks are similar priced or the LS is more: SO IAM NOT FOLLOWING YOUR NUMBERS????

I'm comparing an aluminum production LS to a aluminum big block! The 500 inch motor was not production block but the other four 430 cubic inch LS motors I built them were based on production LS blocks! I get the blocks for around $3,500 less then I can buy an aluminum big block for! I can buy the after market LS block that is capable of 500 plus inches for about a $1,000 less then a BBC aluminum block!

I don't know who these guys are but every one I know who works their boat gas is not an issue even if you bur 5 tanks a day it is included in the rental rate. If they are not doing that they are getting screwed. Sounds cool, keep us posted.
