Post by undicided » Tue Sep 15, 2009 4:16 pm

I bought a LT-1 today dont know much about them but couldnt pass it up. Can yall tell me a little about it. right know it has fuel injection w/ no distributer (geuss its running off coil packs?). So the BIG question is what am I in for would like to use it to build a gear reducted sled :? can I put a HEI distributer on it w/ carb or do I have to run a carb with a coil pack?

I put one on my boat and made it carb and HEI. Itputs out really good power but the waterpump is reverse flow so pay attention to how you run the water lines to the rad. They do have thier problems to deal with but its very doable

That is not a good motor that is why GM ditched it so quickly! If you want to use it they have waterpump, distributor and cooling system problems! I would never use one but if you are ditch the stock ignition!
