Finally Bought a boat

Post by JoeinFl » Wed Dec 23, 2009 3:31 pm

I bought a 15x7.6 Alumitech with a SBC ZZ4 355hp. It has a WhirlWind 78" 3 blade stump puller and a CH2A belt drive. The rigging is all SS. The boat runs great and rides even better.

My last personal boat was a 10' Gore powered by a 90hp Franklin. Old motor but it ran good, I have been using AC and CM boats for the last 22 years with my former employer. unemployed now not by choice.

Is it deckover? No matter, look out for your backwash and be careful not to dip a corner making a sharp turn at low speed.

Unless you saw it, you wouldn't believe how fast an airboat can sink.

22 years airboating and just bought a boat? Cool.
What was the job that had you in an airboat? Weed control? Game officer? Just curious.

Welcome to the forum.

Air, seen a few go down, we had alot of inexperienced operators at my former job. Never dunked one yet, Hope not to LOL....

Mood, I worked at the Space Center as a Security Police Officer/ Marine Enforcement Division. I have owned a couple small A/C boats in the past just been a while back.
