Stinger - Leaking Oil

OK so heres the deal. The rear output seal on my stinger is leaking oil. I ran my boat in thick phragmities stands and the grass wrapped around my out put shaft next to the hub on the prop. well i was afraid that the seal might get taken out and it did. So the question is how do i change it. I am guessing i have to come from the other side?? or do i use a puller and go at it from the facing side?? also does anyone have any idea what seal is so i can get one to replace it?? I included a photo to help illustrate the issue. the seal that is at the end of the screwdriver is the one in question.

You have to get a pulley and take the adapter off then you can get to the seal. Good luck taking the adapter off. A little heat works good but you have to be very careful with putting too much cause its aluminum.

What holds that adapter on there? I see the key on the end is that what holds it in place?
so use a pulley puller and a little heat and slide it off right??

that key is all that holds it on. you have to give the adapter a little heat so it swells and comes off. Your prop pushes it forward so it cant come off. When you put it back on I recomend that ice the shaft down so it shrinks a little and heat the adapter back up.

And also keep the new seal cool with water or or compressed air while you are heating the hub adapter and putting it back on the shaft.

You can call and get the part number from maker or I just took mine to miller bearing and the measured it and had it for me for like $10

Dan will hook you up! Since you already have the beauty cap removed, just heat it like said, Propane torch. Use the puller to slide off the hub and you can pull that seal. The part number will be on it to reference it. Dan can probably give you some pointers for sure, he's a pro with those things.
