Engine HP?
I have a sbc 350 w/aluminum heads, 2.12 Rotator, 80" 3-Blade R Blade Prop set at 1.5 "by the marks on the blades" and its swingin it at 5100rpm WOT. Does anyone have a good "guestament" as to what kind of HP. this engine is putting out?

Re: Engine HP?

Re: Engine HP?
I would guestimate that you have around 400 HP.

Re: Engine HP?
without knowing if it has a chrome breather and chrome valve covers and chrome alternator and chrome oilpan there really is no way to be that close .. if you got a carb that has been actually anodized to a different color that is a bonus as well ... simply giving prop rpms and approx pitch settings is not enough info .. we need pictures of the bling involved .. no blingy no hp .. it has been proven time after time at the boat ramp dyno shops across this great state of flurida ... and how many chrome crankcase beathers ya got .. a good engine has at least two amd maybe more ... gotta letz them hosses breath ya know ....
