4.3 dd hull size?

What is the best recomended size hull to run with a 4.3 dd motor?

I would think a 12ft by 7ft would work fine and the lighter the better.

Agreed, you don't want a narrow beam.
And don't under estimate the literal meaning of 'the lighter the better'.

my buddie has one on a 11.6x7 gore .. real stable an ride great!!! definitely wider the better.. they are heavy motors!!
